The purpose of this report is to provide background information on the past, present and future economy of the West Kootenay Boundary.  In addition to historical data gathered from BC Stats, Stats Canada and other sources, available trend projection or forecast information is summarized and possible future impacts of key changes in the social, economic, and environmental contexts will be considered.
