Two teams of third and fourth year nursing students from Selkirk College conducted a research project that explored perceptions of age-friendlies in Nelson in partnership with Nelson Cares between October 2015 and April 2016. Data was collected through online, paper and in-person surveys. The Columbia Basin Rural Development Institute at Selkirk’s Applied Research and Innovation Centre provided research advisory services, including survey design and student mentoring. This report presents the findings from the age-friendliess assessment.
